Trawangan Dive

Trawangan Dive opened in 1995 and is one of the oldest centres on the island. The shop has a clear conservation lean and runs an active BioRock reef restoration programme — divers can join structure cleaning and monitoring dives, and several specialty courses build on that work. After the 2018 Lombok earthquake the team was directly involved in reef recovery efforts, and that side of the operation is still ongoing.

Local rates are quoted in IDR; THB-equivalent prices are shown here for consistency. The centre sits on Trawangan's main strip but the on-site accommodation and pool sit slightly back from the bar belt, so evenings are quieter than the very north end of the island. Suits divers who want a long-established shop with a reef-conservation angle and PADI specialty depth beyond the usual menu. Less suited to those after the cheapest possible Open Water — pricing sits mid-pack on the island.
