Manta Dive

Manta Dive opened on Gili Trawangan in 2002 and built its reputation around an open, social atmosphere — the on-site bar and restaurant function as informal meeting points for guests, and most course packages bundle accommodation. The result is a centre that suits divers travelling solo who want to meet others, and groups who want a single base for the week. The shop sits a short walk from the main strip, close enough for the evening scene but not directly on it.

Local rates are quoted in IDR; THB-equivalent prices are shown here. PADI 5-star with standard course menu through to Divemaster, plus regular specialty starts. Instructors teach in English, German, Dutch and French. After the 2018 earthquake the shop continued operating through the rebuild period and now runs as normal. Suits divers wanting a sociable mid-range option with bed and dive in one package. Less suited to those after small-group instructor ratios or a quiet boutique feel.
