Blue Marlin Dive

Blue Marlin Dive opened on Gili Trawangan in 1992 and is the longest-running and largest dive operation across the three Gilis. The main centre sits on the east coast of Trawangan, the busiest of the three islands, which means easy access to bars, restaurants and the late ferry connections — suited to divers who want a social evening scene alongside their dive day. The shop holds full PADI 5-star Career Development Centre status, so the course menu runs from try-dives through to IDC and instructor specialty training.

Local rates are quoted in IDR; we list THB-equivalent prices here for consistency across the site. Daily Open Water and Advanced starts run year-round, and the divemaster intake fills most months. Instructors teach in English, German, Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish. Suits divers wanting a recognised brand, reliable start dates and full pro-level progression. Less suited to those after a small-group boutique feel — group sizes sit at PADI standard.
