Big Blue Diving
Big Blue has been on Koh Tao since 1989, making it one of the longest-running dive operations on the island. Two bases — the main resort on Sairee Beach and a second location at Mae Haad — share boats and instructor staff, giving students some flexibility on which side of the island they prefer. The full course menu runs from DSD through IDC, with daily Open Water starts and a divemaster intake that consistently fills.
The operation sits in a similar volume bracket to Ban's and Crystal, with comparable pricing and standard PADI group sizes. The Sairee base has restaurant, bar and accommodation; Mae Haad is quieter. Suits divers wanting a long-established name with on-site amenities and reliable daily start dates. Less suited to those wanting a quiet boutique experience or instructor-to-student ratios below the PADI maximum.
