Mimpi Resort Menjangan

Mimpi Resort sits on Mimpi Beach in the northwest corner of Bali, inside the West Bali National Park boundary. The resort runs the only major dive base with direct boat access to Menjangan Island, a 15-minute crossing to wall sites with the best visibility on the island — 25-30 metres in season. Diving here is calm, deep, and slow, with soft coral walls, schooling jacks, and the occasional turtle. The resort handles transfers, full board, dives, and equipment as one package, which makes the long drive from Denpasar (3.5-4 hours) easier to justify.

Best for divers who want wall diving in calm water without strong current, photographers chasing visibility, and couples wanting a quiet resort week rather than a dive-town pace. Less suited to budget travellers — Mimpi is priced as a resort and there are no cheap homestay alternatives nearby — and to divers wanting Tulamben or Penida from the same base.
